His Excellency the Prime Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, carried out an official visit to the National Procurement Commission (NPC) building in order to directly monitor the ongoing works within the respective procurement processes. During the opening session, Executive Director, Mr. Hermingardo Albano Soares, presented on the current status of the procurement processes, detailing the activities undertaken within the institution. Throughout the visit, the Prime Minister reiterated his demand for high standards of quality and responsibility in the performance of public duties, emphasising that such principles are essential to ensuring sustainable development. The Head of Government also stressed the need to intensify efforts towards the implementation of an eletronic e‑Procurement system, aimed at modernising and transforming public administration, thereby promoting greater efficiency and transparency in the areas of investment, technology and institutional capacity‑building.
