National Advisor for Procurement, Mr. Anderias Tani participated in the Regular Meeting of Auditors and Inspectors of the Public Administration Sector, on June 25-26, 2025, at the Covalima Municipal Authority Meeting Hall. The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MPRM) with the theme “Strengthening Knowledge and Skills to Contribute to Quality Assurance and Good Management of the Functioning of Public Institutions”. In the first day of the meeting, the National Procurement Commission (CNA) become the main speaker, to talk about the Procurement Process for Major Projects, covering the types of procurement, approval sequences, timelines and relevant challenges. After the presentation, the CNA National Advisor answered all questions, and presented concrete examples of procurement practices in Timor-Leste, including measures taken according to CNA competence and applicable rules in Timor-Leste. In addition to CNA, ADN.IP was also the Keynote Speaker on the first day. The meeting was also attended by the Director General of the Ministry of Petroleum, Resources and Minerals (MPRM) Mr. Frederico dos Santos Maia, Representative of the President of the Public Service Commission (CFP) Commissioner Agapito da Conceição, Representative of the President of the Covalima Municipal Authority Mr. Alberto Moniz de Araujo, State General Inspectorate (IGE) Mr. Francisco de Carvalho, President of CMCLN Covalima Municipality Mr. Osorio Soares Mausoko, representatives from the Line Ministeries (MOP, MF, ME, MS, MAPPF, MESSC), SECoop, PNTL, PSIC, ITB, etc. According to the plan, the meeting will be held every quarter to share knowledge and skills especially for Auditors and Inspectors and Heads of Public Administration Institutions.
